Doha, Qatar – May 2016 — Al Sraiya Trading & Contracting, a key subsidiary of Al Sraiya Holding Group, has been awarded a QR 1.2 billion contract under Qatar’s Local Roads and Drainage Program (LRDP).

The awarded project covers Package 6 of the Roads and Infrastructure Development in the Doha Industrial Area, a vital effort aimed at transforming the area into a modern, well-connected, and service-ready urban zone.

Enhancing Connectivity and Infrastructure

The project involves a comprehensive upgrade of the road network, totaling 34 kilometers, along with the construction of advanced drainage systems, sewage networks, and utility infrastructure. Key components include new street lighting, traffic signals, road signage, pedestrian pathways, and landscaping — all designed to enhance safety, accessibility, and urban aesthetics.

Al Sraiya will also implement civil works for Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS), install security and monitoring infrastructure, and carry out landscaping, irrigation, and hardscaping works across the project area. The contract also includes the removal of deteriorated structures and construction of new boundary walls to better define and protect designated land parcels.
