Our leadership

Founder and Chairman of Al Sraiya Holding Group, Al Kaabi has a long history of successful business ventures dating back to the Seventies of the past century. He has served as a Board Member of Qatar Industrial Manufacturing Company (QIMC) since 1993, and has been a member of Qatar Islamic Bank’s Board of Directors since 2008, chairing the bank’s Compensation and Remuneration Committee. In addition to his membership in ‘Al Shourah’ (Advisory) Council from 1995 to 2021, Al Kaabi had been also a member of a host of other organizations including: the Advisory Body of the GCC Supreme Council and a member in other boards and committees in relation to his activities in business and property development.

Al Kaabi is the Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Al Sraiya Holding Group, whereby he leads the group’s growth strategy. With over 20 years of experience, Al Kaabi has established a stellar reputation both nationally and internationally. He has successfully expanded businesses across various sectors, including engineering, hospitality, industrial, trading, and general services. Former chairman of energy city, Al Kaabi has been also a member of a host of other organizations in fields of Real Estate, Banking, Insurance, Education, Healthcare, Asset Management, Sports Management. In his capacity as member of Qatar Chamber of Commerce & industry and Chairman of the Banks Committee at the chamber, he currently represents the Chamber in multiple bilateral and multi-lateral chambers of commerce. He holds a bachelor’s degree in law and a Doctor of Honors in Business Management.

Al Kaabi serves as the Chief Operation Officer of Al Sraiya Holding Group, building on his extensive acumen for operational excellence and strategic leadership. He is an active member of the board for several organizations, including Seib Insurance & Reinsurance Qatar, Doha Gulf Co. Sudan, the Qatari Sudan Chamber, Islamic Business Entrepreneurs, and Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Recognized for his leadership, Ahmad has been nominated to “Best CEO in the Region” award by Forbes Middle East in 2012 recognizing his leadership as Managing Director & CEO at Mawashi, and as a Pioneer in Food Security in Arab Countries in Abu Dhabi during the same year. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Qatar University.

In his capacity as Executive Director, Al Kaabi leads the executive direction at Al Sraiya Hotels & Hospitality Group, the hospitality arm of Al Sraiya Holding Group, primarily setting the executive direction for the management and expansion strategy of the group’s portfolio of high-end F&B concepts. In addition to his role at the family business, he serves as a board member at Inma Holding and Widam Food. He holds a master of arts degree in international business management from Middlesex University, London.
